How can I get my cholesterol tested?

Ask your primary care physician to test your LDL cholesterol, or ask him/her to refer you to an appropriate laboratory. Methods other than the direct measured LDL may not be as accurate, so it is important to specify that you would like the direct measured LDL cholesterol.
